Kagitingan Lodge No. 286 is a Blue Lodge, or Craft Lodge, of Free and Accepted Master Masons operating under the
Jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons
of the Philippines, District NCR-G.
The word "kagitingan" translates into English as "courage" or "valor". Every year, "Araw ng Kagitingan" (Valor Day)
is celebrated in the Philippines as a public holiday. The day is dedicated to the ideals of freedom, unity and progress, and
is similar to Veterans Day in the United States or Memorial Sunday in the United Kingdom. Tributes and homage are given to
those who fought to defend freedom - especially during the Second World War.
Kagitingan Lodge meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Jacobo Zobel Memorial Temple in Makati, Philippines
at 6pm sharp. Our meetings are always followed by harmonious fellowship meetings. Visitors are very welcome.
(See Diary and map).
Our dress code is strictly enforced: for the stated meetings the required dress is a white barong Tagalog
(long sleeve) with black pants and black shoes. Visiting Bretheren may wear dark suit with white shirt and tie.
