Around 40 brethren and family members attended. Several sacks of used clothing and over P30,000 worth of goods were donated to help disadvantaged young people. Click the image for photos and the location map.

Tree Planting

Worshipful Master Wilson Amper organized a Tree Planting at Barangay Patling, Capas, Tarlac on Saturday July 19, 2008. Participants met at WM Wilson's residence at 6am, and travelled in convoy to his kubo in Capas for breakfast. Refreshed, we transferred by tractor to the tree planting site. After a healthy day of activity in the fresh air, enjoyed by parents and children alike, we returned to the Worshipful Master's kubo for good food, drink and fellowship. For the benefit of the environment, some 12,000 trees were planted on the hill sides on that day and subsequently.

Blood Donations

A Blood Donation Mission by conducted jointly by Kagitingan Lodge No 286 and the Philippine National Police (PNP) was held at the PNP Training Institute, Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna on August 16, 2008. Some 200 PNP recruits and the brethren were processed by Dr Angelo Marquez, the Manager of the Blood Center of the PNRC, and his four staff. Unfortunately only 35 donors were accepted. Many potential donors were disqualied due to colds or coughs because it was the rainy season. Police Superintendent Hubert Tuzon was also present, representing the PNP school. The brethren enjoyed lunch with the donors at the venue before returning to Manila.
